Other related places is Jokhang Temple the first early Buddhist shrine and monastery complex, where queen Bhirkuti (known as Green Tara) wife of King Songtsen Gampo bought from Nepal to Tibet and places in this temple for thousand of Tibetans and other Buddhist pilgrims to worship.

An interesting place surrounded by active market place of Barkhor square selling all kinds of items from household wares to religious offering. Here one can observe Tibetan culture and way of life as it was past hundreds of years, witness Tibetans from all part of Tibet for pilgrimage.

The most important is a tour of Potala famous and magnificent Palace, originally built during 640 AD. Potala Palace the landmark of Lhasa and Tibet dominates the Kyuchi or Lhasa valley.

The 13 storied palaces with 1,000 room stands at 117.19m high include 1000 rooms.

Day 01:- Kathmandu (1,300m) – Lhasa (3,650m)-  Tsedang

Departure Transport to Tribhuban Airport and Trans – Himalayan flight to Tibet (Gongaar airport) (1hr.) Drive to Tsedang (1hr.) – Full rest for acclimatization – O/N at Hotel.

Day 02:- Sightseeing tour in Tsedang

Sightseeing tour of Yambulakhang Palace, Tandruk Monastery and Samye Monastery O/N at Hotel.

Day 03:-Lhasa – Gyantse (3950m) 250 Km

Drive to Gyantse via Yamadroke Lake and high passes: Kora LA (5,010m) & Kamba La (4,794m) – O/N at Hotel.Day 04:- Gyantse – Xigatse (3,900m): 90km

AM: Sight-seeing in Gyantse including Pholkor & Kumbum Monastery and Gyantse Dzong. PM: scenic drive to Xigatse(1.5hrs) through the typical Tibetan Countryside – O/N at Hotel.

Day 05:- Xigatse – Lhasa (3650m) 250km

 AM: Visit Panchen Lama’s Tashilhumpu Monastery. Then Drive to Lhasa O/N at Hotel.

Day 06-07:- In Lhasa: Two Full Days Sightseeing Tour In Lhasa

Visit Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple & Barkhor Bazaar, Drepung Monastery and  Sera Monastery – O/N at Hotel.

Day 08:- Lhasa to Kathmandu

Departure to gonggar airport and fly back to Kathmandu
