In Kathmandu free day, where you can join in our half day tour around Kathmandu at places of great interest, as Kathmandu valley steeped with history and culture with most of the world heritage sites of Pashupatinath a Hindu temple, Bouddhanath Stupa Buddhist sites also known as ‘Little Tibet’ or tour of Kathmandu Durbar Square of old palace courtyard and a temple resident of Kumari (Living Goddess).

Morning as per the flight to Lhasa transfer to Kathmandu international airport, during an hour airborne mind-blowing views of world’s highest mountains with Mount Everest at its closest, this super flight touches down at Gongar Airport which is just an hour drive to Lhasa city. At Gongor airport well received by our Tibetan guide and drivers for pleasant drive into heart of Lhasa city. A day in Lhasa engrossed with interesting tour of Drefung Monastery one of the largest in Tibet, as well important old monastery of Tibet actually a collage and a university for Tibetan Buddhism in earlier days.
After Drefung, tour of Jorkhang Temple which is another important and interesting site to visit as it boasts historic importance and tales of old days. The tour concludes for the day visiting Bharkor Bazaar.
Next tour of famous and magnificent Potala Palace, originally built during 640 AD. Potala Palace the landmark of Lhasa and Tibet dominates the Kyuchi or Lhasa valley.
The 13 storied palaces with 1,000 room stands at 117.19m high include 1000 rooms. Afternoon tour of another interesting and important Shera monastery and watch young monks in debates one of the high light of the visit.

Today one of the best way to see Tibetan country landscapes and rural life of villagers with chance to watch Yak grazing on wide open pastureland. Morning a nice drive to Ganden Monastery area, a distance of 45 k.m. towards east of Lhasa, on leaving the main road heading uphill as Ganden monastery located 18 k.m from main highway, on reaching the top sacred ridge of Wangku Ri at Ganden area.
Ganden a foremost monastery of Gelugpa sect of Tibetan Buddhism (Yellow Hat),
all Great Six monasteries (Ganden, Sera, Drepung,Tashilumpo, Labrang, Kumbum) are of Yellow Sects, none suffered as disastrously as Ganden during Cultural Revolution when artillery and vast quantities of dynamite where deployed, at present built into its original form after much destruction.
In early time over 2,000 monks lived here; now there are hardly 300 monks, after a nice drive transfer into local hotel or guest house with afternoon tour of Ganden.

The drive passes Golmud highway turning north through the rough road passing by Baka-ara and coming to a junction at Largaan Do, drive continues to Largaen-La at 5,180 m is a half an hour climb from the last bridge Namtso lies to the north of Lagan-la, looking like a deep blue iceberg. Although only its eastern is visible through a rounded hills and ridges, it is still impressively huge body of water. The town of Nam Tsho Qu is on the plains to the right east of the lake. The caravan route skirts this end of the lake, entering the low hills beyond for the journey across the northern plateau. There are two way to approach Tashiy Dorje. Both choices take about the same amount of time, on reaching Tashiy Dorje which flat and arid at the shore of lake Namtsho,

Today a hike and a trekking with holy circuit around the Tashiy Dorje, Chhungchhung which is about two hour lakeside walk under the sculpted limestone cliffs. The climb to the summit 4,720m takes less than 30 minutes and is best approached from the east side near the mani wall. Piles of carved prayer stones decorate the summit and the views outstanding in all directions. Nam-Tsho's 113 k.m length can now be appreciated, although the far end is still lost from sight. Nam Tsho is considered a salt lake.

After a pleasant time at Namtsho holy Lake and visit of Ganden Monastery area, morning drive back to Lhasa on passing farm villages and towns following the Kyuchi (Lhasa) River for some time to reach back at Lhasa.

After an experience of a lifetime adventure on Lhasa to Namtsho trekking and tour drive to Gongor airport for scenic hour flight to Kathmandu with super views of Everest-Lhotse and Makalu as the plane lands at Kathmandu airport, and then transfer back to your respective hotels with afternoon free at leisure and shopping.

Last day in Nepal with wonderful memories of Tibet trip and Lhasa to Namtsho trekking and tour, then transfer to Kathmandu airport for final departure homeward ward bound or to respective countries.
