Mount Kailash Yatra by Helicopter From Lucknow/Nepalganj Package

Mount Kailash Yatra by Helicopter 2026 provides a comfortable and luxury pilgrimage to holy Mount Kailash and Lake Mansarovar. It offers a shorter pilgrimage with added comfort through road and aerial travel.

The Mount Kailash Helicopter Trek will be an 11-day pilgrimage with extensive en route planning to ensure ample time to acclimatise, sit in spiritual purpose, and take advantage of amazing views. Pilgrims will enter the journey from Lucknow → Nepalgunj → Simikot or Kathmandu → Nepalgunj → Simikot.

After arriving in Simikot, the group on Lucknow to Kailash Mansarovar tour Package 2026 will begin helicopter transfers to Hilsa (on the Nepal side), and then overland through the Nepal-China border into Tibet (Taklakot/Purang) with another land transfer to get to Mansarovar for the Kailash parikrama.

You may begin your Mount Kailash Helicopter Yatra  from either Lucknow with a road transfer to Nepalgunj, or by flying into Kathmandu, where you will subsequently transfer to Nepalgunj. A 45-minute flight, weather permitting, from Nepalgunj will take you to Simikot (2,900 m), which is where you will spend the night or nights for better acclimatisation.

From Simikot, you will take a helicopter for the 25-minute flight to Hilsa, enjoying some very scenic views as you fly over some deep gorges and valleys. Once travel is completed at Hilsa, you will then walk/cross a bridge into Tibet, where you will board a vehicle from there for the scenic drive in the Himalayas to Taklakot (4,000 m), where you will overnight and acclimatise before further travelling.

You will then be driven to Lake Mansarovar, enjoy views of this holy lake, partake in your holy dip or ritual or both, before beginning the parikrama (circuit) of Kailash via Dirapuk, Zuthulphuk, etc., and return again through Taklakot and Hilsa. Finally, it will be once again a helicopter ride to Simikot, then a flight to Nepalgunj, before driving back or flying back to either Lucknow or Kathmandu, whichever starting option is used.

This Himalaya Kailash Yatra by Helicopter 11 Days Luxury Itinerary will allow you more time to hike, while avoiding many of the more difficult sections of the trail and shortening the time spent otherwise without sacrificing the spiritual experience. Your lodging will be more comfortable, meals are included, and your actual itinerary will also allow you to rest/acclimatise. Weather and altitude are big factors, especially early mornings for flights/helicopters.

The 2026 Kailash Helicopter Trip version keeps you safe, provides a permit-management plan, and is organised so you can experience the challenge of the trek balanced with comfort, so you can fulfil your devotional experience without taking unnecessary risks.

Who Can Join Himalaya Kailash Visit Via Helicopter 2026 Trip?

Elderly Pilgrims & Those with Limited Mobility

Kailash Mountain Helicopter Tour from Lucknow is particularly well-suited to elderly passengers who cannot physically tolerate long travel by road. Being able to take a helicopter flight over significant portions of the travel, especially where the roads are particularly rough, does lessen the physical burden.

However, elderly pilgrims (typically 70 and over) will need to provide a medical fitness certificate from an appropriate recognised doctor, especially for high altitude travel. In many programs, the age factor may create some additional approvals of limited strenuous activity, such as riding or long-distance trekking, or possibly exemption from the full Parikrama (Kora) around Mount Kailash.

Families with Children

Families with small kids are among the biggest benefactors of Mt Kailash Pilgrimage By Helicopter 11 Days.. The amelioration of the amount of travel time, decreased exposure to travel road hours, and a more controlled travel environment significantly lessens physical discomfort and exposure to risk. Helicopters reduce exposure to problems with altitude and the strain of road travel, so children can enjoy the trip.

That said, children must still meet the basic criteria for health and ability to adapt to altitude,  it is usually assumed children are mature enough to handle short and small changes of altitude, and associated stress.

People with Time Constraints

For devotees who cannot spare many days owing to other obligations — work, family, etc the Mount Kailash Helicopter Trek 11 Days is a major advantage. Traditional overland journeys may take many more days (sometimes weeks), with long drives, rest days, acclimatization stops, etc. Helicopter-enabled itineraries cut down travel time substantially. So if someone has limited holiday time or needs to finish the pilgrimage quickly, this is an ideal choice.

Individuals with Time Limitations

For pilgrims who have time limitations due to other commitments, work, family, etc.Lucknow to Kailash Mansarovar tour Package 2026 is a tremendous benefit. Traditional overland journeys can take many more days (sometimes weeks) with long journeys, rest days, acclimatisation stops, etc. Helicopter-enabled itineraries will dramatically reduce travel time. So if someone has limited vacation time or has to complete the pilgrimage in a limited time frame, that is the best option.

Persons with Health Issues

For those with health issues that make long-distance travel or trekking difficult, respiratory issues, high blood pressure, or joint issues, Mount Kailash Helicopter Yatra  is more suitable.

Because less time is spent on long, tiring road stretches and always having faster transport for flexibility between high-altitude stretches, the risk to health is lower. But again, medical clearance is necessary. Organisers generally require, and in some cases, measure, bring a doctor’s note, measure oxygen saturation, blood pressure etc.,

Upon arrival, your guide will take you through an elaborate orientation on the Kailash Yatra. This includes briefing about necessary permits, health concerns, and logistics.

Following the briefing, you can give yourself a light stroll around the area to get acquainted with the Kathmandu air, which is comfortable at 1,350 meters.

In the evening, you can taste the Nepali or Indian food in the hotel or local restaurants; however, it is recommended to avoid alcohol or heavy food.

Remember to pack your equipment and settle flight arrangements the following morning. The block is to give you the time to settle down, stretch your legs after such a long ride, and psychologically prepare yourself to take the Mount Kailash Helicopter Yatra within you.

Max Altitude: 1,350 m Meals: Breakfast-Lunch-DinnerAccommodation: Overnight at Hotel

You will start your morning with a short guided sightseeing trip around the Kathmandu Valley after breakfast.

You will see holy places of interest in the UNESCO World Heritage, like Pashupatinath Temple, among the most sacred shrines of Hinduism, and the stupa of Boudhanath, which is a primary hub of Tibetan Buddhism. You can also visit Patan Durbar Square, which features Nepal Newari architecture, depending on the time.

With your guide, you will gain an understanding of the cultural and spiritual interrelationship between these places and Mount Kailash, the dwelling place of Lord Shiva and the cosmic state of perfect harmony in Buddhism.

The end of the tour will be lunch with a subsequent pack to catch the afternoon flight at your hotel. A one-hour flight will get you to Nepalgunj, which is in the southern plains.

On arrival, you will be staying in one of your hotels and have a rest. Your guide will reaffirm the helicopter and make flight arrangements for the following day. Take in lots of fluids, sleep, and get ready for the change in altitude, which will happen tomorrow when you are about to enter the Himalayas.

Max Altitude: 4,025 m Meals: Breakfast-Lunch-DinnerAccommodation: Overnight at Guest House

Early next morning, you will fly from Nepalgunj to Simikot, a remote mountain town that is located in the far-western Himalayas. The 45-minute ride will provide spectacular air views of the terraced lands and snow-capped mountain ranges.

You will sense the thin air in the mountain as you come to Simikot (2,910 m). Two hours later, you will take flight in a helicopter, which will give you the opportunity to enjoy an amazing flight across deep valleys, rugged ridges, and the Hilsa area, which is close to the Nepal-Tibet boundary.

In Hilsa, you will get Nepalese exit formalities, and on the other side of the border, cross the bridge on foot. Once you cross into Tibet, you will be subjected to Chinese immigration inspection, which makes the time spendable.

There is a short drive over expansive high-altitude terrain, and a visit to Taklakot (Purang) at 4,025 meters will be made. The movement of the fertile green valleys to the dry, windy plateaus will be enormous.

You will also go into a modest guest house and spend the evening resting and rehydrating. It is your first night on top of 4,000 meters and therefore go slowly and do not engage in physical activities. The day is a big milestone, it is the entry into Tibet and the breathtaking plateau, which culminates in Mount Kailash.

Max Altitude: 4,025 m Meals: Breakfast-Lunch-DinnerAccommodation: Overnight at Guest House

We will spend all day today acclimatizing at Taklakot (Purang), a trading town on the expansive Tibetan Plateau. The town is elevated above 4,000 meters, hence you will spend this day slowly until your body adapts to the height.

In the morning, you will walk carefully by the local market where you will watch the life of Tibetans who live every day and small colorful stalls of woolens, dried yak cheese, and flagellation flags. Your guide will give you a briefing on Tibetan culture and customs, and you need to be respectful at the monasteries, mani walls, and sacred sites.

Later in the afternoon, you will do a moderate stroll to nearby overlooks of the Purang valley and train on some slow breathing exercises, as well as mindfulness exercises, to reinforce the process of acclimatization.

The crew will observe the oxygen levels of all people and ensure that no one experiences any instances of discomfort associated with altitude. The priority will be based on rest, hydration, and light meals.

This day will make your forthcoming trip to Lake Manasarovar and the Kailash Kora a reality. You will end the day in a pleasant warm soup, listening to pilgrims as they relate their tales and looking out at the stars of the high altitude, and retiring to your bed early. The air of Tibet will start to show its spiritual calmness, which is thin and silent.

Max Altitude: 4,550 m Meals: Breakfast-Lunch-DinnerAccommodation: Overnight at Guest House

You will make a post-breakfast drive to the sacred Lake Manasarovar, which is long distance travel across the vast Tibetan plateau. On ascending the road, the horizon will give way to a wonderful view of snow-covered mountains and expansive deserts.

As you see at first sight the glittering blue waters of the Manasarovar, you will experience the mystique spiritual atmosphere that has been worshiped by pilgrims since time immemorial.

Once there, you will traverse the side of the lake, where Hindu and Buddhist pilgrims pray, meditate as well and wash. You can attend a short puja or pour water on the holy lake, as you desire. The serene nature, coupled with the remote view of Mount Kailash, establishes the feeling of profound reverence.

The guest house at the lakeshore will be plain yet cozy. Spend the afternoon resting and hydrating, as this is one of the highest points of your trip. The air will be cool and thin, and have light and conscious movements.

The night will be peaceful as the golden sunset casts over Manasarovar will be the embodiment of the Godlike calm, the moment to recall the whole life.

Max Altitude: 4,575 m Meals: Breakfast-Lunch-DinnerAccommodation: Overnight at Guest House

In the morning, you will start with a journey up to Lake Manasarovar in the early morning light, which will reflect off its surface and brighten the waters.

The peaks in all directions, the Gurla Mandhata, and the outline of Mount Kailash, which seem to be far away, will be beautiful in the morning sun. Your guide will tell you about local legends concerning the purity of the lake and its ability to bring you spiritual renewal.

Having made a brief lakeside visit and stopped to take photographs, you will take a drive of approximately one hour to Darchen, which is the base town for the Kailash kora. The first naked eye view of Mount Kailash may be found on the road. This topography is in the form of a running pyramid-shaped formation emerging splendidly in the barren plateau.

At Darchen, your team will be registered with the local authorities and make arrangements for the three-day Parikrama. You will carry trekking equipment, walking sticks, and thick clothes.

During the evening, you will sleep and have a pleasant dinner, listening to the briefing of the next day's route. This will be the last time you will prepare before you start the sacrosanct circle around Mount Kailash.

Max Altitude: 4,920 m Meals: Breakfast-Lunch-DinnerAccommodation: Overnight at Guest House

Today, you will start the Kailash Parikrama (Kora). You will begin early at Darchen, along the dusty road which trails slowly upwards towards the Lha Chu valley.

The path will be decorated with colorful prayer flags, mani stones, and the light sound of the wind in the mountains. The gradual climb will enable your body to be accustomed to walking for about 5-6 hours towards Derapuk.

The scene will be more picturesque as you come nearer to Derapuk, where the grand north face of Mount Kailash will rise almost in your face, and which fills every pilgrim with awe. The summit of the sacred mountain, being absolutely symmetrical, will shine with gold in the afternoon of that day.

On reaching Derapuk, you will come into a mere guest house and have your rest. It will be silent and cold except that there will be the noise of flapping prayer flags.

Other pilgrims can light butter lamps or even meditate. It will be among the most uplifting religious moments of the trip, which shall be passed under the glittering sky of stars.

Max Altitude: 4,920 m Meals: Breakfast-Lunch-DinnerAccommodation: Overnight at Guest House

Today, you will rise earlier in the morning to traverse the toughest and religious day of the whole Yatra - the Dolma La Pass crossing.

You will have a very early breakfast, and then start the steep climb to the pass, step slowly and steadily, breathing thinner and thinner as you do so. It will be a zigzag path over rocky slopes and gully valleys, where prayer flags will indicate the path of sacredness.

It will be an emotional moment of victory when we get to Dolma La (5,645 m). At this point, pilgrims tend to stop and make prayers, turn prayer wheels, or pay small tributes at the site of him as a way of getting rid of the burdens of the past.

Rising to the summit above, you will have panoramic views of the Tibetan plateau and snow mountains that stretch on forever towards the horizon.

It will then descend along a small lake of glaciers, called Gauri Kund, which was related to the myth of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. You will then proceed down to Juthulpuk, where you will stay in a plain guest house.

It will be a long and hard day, yet very satisfying - spiritually, as well as physically.

Max Altitude: 4,830 m Meals: Breakfast-Lunch-DinnerAccommodation: Overnight at Guest House

You will begin the day with a light breakfast and an easy walk to now finish the conclusive Kailash Kora.

The road will slowly circle the rocky valleys and then arrive at the open plateau roads, returning to Darchen. The finishing of the circuit around Mount Kailash will be a great source of tranquility and achievement - spiritual rejuvenation for all pilgrims.

At Darchen, you will take vehicles to drive the distance back across the plateau to Hilsa, which is an area of the Nepal boundary. The road will again give sweeping glimpses of barren scenery, icy brooks, and the mountains on the other side.

On arriving in Hilsa, you will go through the Chinese exit processes and be ready to return to Nepal.

The Tibetan side of the journey will be the last night of Hilsa. The guest houses are simple yet satisfactory.

Max Altitude: 2,910 m Meals: Breakfast-Lunch-DinnerAccommodation: Overnight at Hotel

Following breakfast, you will take a helicopter ride from Hilsa to Simikot, having a marvelous air view of the rough Himalayas, which is below. On arrival at Simikot, you will be connected to a small flight to Nepalgunj, and another flight will be made to Kathmandu.

It will be a teddy journey but a worthwhile journey, as it will involve several flight sections through breathtaking mountain terrain.

It will be a relief to go back to Kathmandu and enjoy the city after your high-altitude adventure. You will enter your hotel, have a hot shower, and eat a good meal. The operations department will help in the debriefing process, getting feedback, and assisting you in planning your next trip.

Evening will be a casual one, an opportunity to exchange memories, photos, and experiences with fellow pilgrims.

Max Altitude: 1,350 m Meals: Breakfast

The last day of the trip will be marked by a pleasant breakfast in the hotel. You may have last-minute shopping for souvenirs or systematically walk around as per your flight time. You will be subsequently transferred to Tribhuvan International Airport, where you will check in for your flight at the departure gate.

Your guide will assist in the registration, luggage collection, etc. Your guide will give you your certificate of having completed Mount Kailash Yatra and say goodbye to you.

You will take away with you the impressions of the most memorable objects, the blue serenity of Lake Manasarovar, the sublimity of the snowy white mountains of Mount Kailash, and the internal harmony which you will have gathered in this sacred pilgrimage, flying out of Kathmandu.

The Yatra will be accomplished, and the blessings of the Yatra will be resident with you everlastingly.

Essential Information

Best Time To Go on Mount Kailash Yatra by Helicopter

Spring (late April – June)

The most appropriate season to operate helicopters is Spring. The winter ends, and there comes clear weather and warm days. The visibility is also enhanced, and the helicopters can move more steadily.

Simikot-Hilsa-Taklakot routes are consistently open, which makes the journey more accessible. The snow melts on approaches to the valleys, minimizing landing risks. You will have to reserve your accommodation and other facilities in advance since this is a peak booking season.

It is also in Spring that acclimatization occurs with ease as opposed to winter. Temperatures at base areas tend to range between 5 degrees C and 12 degrees C during the day, and during the afternoons, temperatures can drop to freezing points in high camps.

On bare ridges, anticipate sharp sun and cold winds. Bring sun protection, warm clothes, and a clear head in case of any change of plan in a hurry due to the wind.

Autumn (September – early October)

After the monsoon ends, Autumn comes with hue and steady weather. The mountain views become sharp, and the surrounding looks more cinematic with changing colors.

The weather delays in helicopters are fewer compared to the delays in mid-summer since there are minimal chances of rainfall and snowfall. This window offers environments of good photography and dependable flying.

Autumn is cool: warm during the day and cold at night. Daytime highs are like Spring and fall abruptly after the sun goes down. The plateau is subject to unpredictable winds, so do not be too rigid in plans, but provide as many buffer days as you can for helicopters.

Reserves flights and books permits long beforehand so that they can get a seat.

Difficulty Level of Mount Kailash Yatra by Helicopter

The Mount Kailash Yatra by Helicopter is said to be moderately difficult. This is because the helicopter saves the pilgrimage long over land, yet the adventure takes heights of more than 5,600 meters at the Dolma La Pass. Brief hiking stunts over the three days Kora require physical stamina and concentration of the mind.

The biggest issue is not distance, but altitude. Stamina is tested by thin air and cold weather, and abrupt changes in weather. Taklakot and Manasarovar should be properly acclimatized to prevent altitude sickness. The participants ought to be in good general shape and have no severe heart or lung complications.

Nevertheless, through our helicopter package, the yatra is easier to reach. It reduces the number of travelling days and tiredness without compromising on the spiritual and scenic benefits. Most pilgrims make it safely and successfully with preparation, taking things very slow, and guidance.

Communication and Internet

There is a lack of communication during the Mount Kailash Yatra by helicopter.

In Kathmandu and Nepalgunj, you will have decent mobile network and Wi-Fi connections. But as you get to the Tibet side (Taklakot, Manasarovar, Darchen), the connection is extremely low.

Not all guest houses will have good or fast Chinese connections, and most of them can be reached via local SIM cards. The problem of international roaming is almost ineffective, and the data service is poor.

Operators carry satellite phones most of the time in case of an emergency. Limited contact is to be advised by the traveller to the family. Digital isolation is to be expected - it is the experience of these isolated, sacred places. Arrange plans prior to departure from Nepal.

Meal/Food During Tour

The food that is offered in the Mount Kailash Helicopter Yatra is very basic, vegetarian and high on carbohydrates to fit the digestion of the high altitudes. You will have hotel buffet meals in Kathmandu and Nepalgunj, where you will have Nepali and Indian cuisine.

In Tibet, food is reduced to a mere necessity; soups, noodles, rice, and boiled vegetables are the order of the day. Indian-style ingredients, masala, and pickles are normally used by the operators to help provide taste.

Further stops, such as Manasarovar and Darchen, have meal readyers who make meals using the portable stoves. Hot soup and tea are also consumed regularly to stay warm. Heavy or oily foods should be avoided by pilgrims, and they should drink a lot of warm water to help in acclimatizing.

Required Permits for Mount Kailash Yatra by Helicopter

Permit 1: Chinese Visa

A sound Chinese visa is required for any foreigner travelling to China, even those heading to Tibet. A visa will be needed, depending on your country of origin, but one must get it in advance at your respective consulate or embassy in China.

In most of the Kailash tours organized by Nepal, a group visa is organized via a tour operator in Kathmandu. You are not allowed to enter Tibet legally, nor are you allowed to take flights into Chinese territory without a valid Chinese visa.

Permit 2: Tibet Travel Permit (TTP)

The Tibet Travel Permit (Tibet Entry Permit) is a mandatory travel permit issued by the Tibet Tourism Bureau. All non-Nepalese visitors will carry it to enter Tibet, to be able to board domestic flights or trains in that foreign country.

You are not allowed to do it yourself; the licensed travel agency has to do it. It is the basic permit for all Tibet travels, including the Kailash tours.

Permit 3: Alien’s Travel Permit (ATP / PSB Permit)

The Alien's Travel Permit, also known as the PSB Permit, is issued to foreigners travelling to restricted or remote border regions like Ngari (Kailash region). This permission is issued once you have entered Tibet (you need your original passport, China visa, and Tibet Travel Permit). The application process lasts 1-2 hours.

Permit 4: Military Permit (Military Area Entry Permit / MPS)

Since mountain Kailash occupies a militarily sensitive area in Tibet (Ngari Prefecture), it requires a Military Permit. The issue is with the Military Office (military affairs authority) in Lhasa or related areas. It can only be applied on your behalf by the licensed travel agencies. This is a permit that allows one to visit restricted border areas and military areas around Kailash.

Permit 5: Foreign Affairs Permit (FAP)

Remote or border areas, such as Kailash, are considered to require a Foreign Affairs Permit in addition to the Military Permit, which is given by the Foreign Affairs Office in Tibet. This authorization is required when travelling in areas considered to be diplomatically sensitive. This permission has to be solicited by your tour operator via the official enclave in Lhasa.

Physical and Medical Requirements

Pilgrims must be between the ages of 18 and 70 years, with a Body Mass Index (BMI) of 27 or less. It is required to have a full medical check-up, including blood pressure, blood sugar, cholesterol, ECG, chest X-ray, and pulmonary function tests to determine if the individual is medically fit for travelling at high altitude and undertaking the physical requirements of the trip.

Altitude Issues

Kailash Mansarovar is situated at an altitude of over 5000m above sea level, where oxygen levels begin to plummet rapidly. Under altitude sickness, people can exhibit symptoms including, but not limited to, headache, nausea, dizziness, and decreased energy. These can be dealt with by adjusting to altitude, drinking a lot of water, and avoiding alcohol.

Medical Fitness Certificate

The participant must get a medical fitness certificate from a government-approved medical centre. This will confirm the individual is medically fit, free from serious medical problems, such as heart disease, asthma, or diabetes, and that the individual shows they are medically fit to participate in the yatra.

Immunisation or Health Precautions

While some immunisations are not necessary for the yatra, it is advised that the pilgrim be up to date with routine immunisations. Moreover, a pilgrim should carry personal medication, a first aid kit and consult with their healthcare professional regarding any other health precautions prior to travelling.

Safety Procedures or Emergency Protocol

Oxygen cylinders, portable altitude chambers and trained medical personnel form part of the safety precautions and procedures employed throughout the journey. An emergency evacuation protocol is available, even potentially using helicopters. Travel medical emergency and evacuation travel insurance is strongly encouraged to purchase.

Altitude Sickness Management (Therapy, e.g. medication)

Diamox (acetazolamide) are a medication that can help to prevent and treat altitude sickness. This medicine facilitates acclimatisation by increasing the body’s speed of respiration and improving oxygen absorption. Please report to a healthcare provider before taking any medications.

Emergency Evacuation

In the event of extreme altitude sickness or other medical situations, you may have to be evacuated. A helicopter evacuation will be coordinated, if needed, to take you for medical attention. Travel insurance should cover such situations to avoid unnecessary large out-of-pocket expenses.

Insurance

Travel insurance is very important for the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra. It should cover medical expenses, emergency evacuation, trip cancellation, and loss of baggage. Especially ensure that your insurance covers travel to high altitudes, as some insurances will not cover everything to travel to high altitudes. Also, remember that the insurance does not work after you cross the Nepal-Tibet Border.

However, you can use the insurance for your Nepal journey until you reach the Tibet border.

FAQs

If a helicopter leg is cancelled, the company will provide an alternative ground transfer or schedule you for the next available helicopter flight. Your safety and the continuity of your pilgrimage are their utmost priorities. No day of the core pilgrimage will ever be dropped because helicopters have been cancelled or rescheduled.

Yes, helicopters flying in high-altitude areas have firm limits on luggage weight (usually between 10-15 kg, including carry-on). Excess luggage might have to be shipped domestically or left behind, as taken luggage will be announced in advance.

The company handles all Tibet Travel Permits and group visas through liaison offices in Kathmandu and Lhasa. You will need to give the company your original passports a few days prior to the trip so permits can be handled in a timely manner.

Yes, there is a full ground crew accompanying you, made up of local guides, drivers, liaison officers, and medical staff for each trekking or driving segment. The crew does the logistical tasks, takes care of transitions, and helps pilgrims who may be in trouble.

Most 11-day packages do use helicopter flights to connect the remote and high altitude sections of the trek (Simikot to Hilsa and reverse). Any other legs of the trip, like border crossing or road duration in Tibet, are done by road in vehicles.

In addition to a basic medical kit, the group will have oxygen cylinders and portable pulse oximeters. The guide is trained to assess symptoms of altitude sickness and will arrange for evacuation if deemed necessary.

To establish passenger seating and ensure safe distribution of weight in the helicopter, your seating will be assigned based on your weight and group. When the helicopter is ready for takeoff, the Pilot and Operations Manager will have the opportunity to agree and finalise seating assignments to ensure a safe operating centre of gravity in the helicopter.

For safety reasons, generally, participants are able to use handheld cameras and/or cell phones to video and take photos from within the helicopter; however, drone usage is normally prohibited or closely controlled in Tibet. You must gain permission for aerial filming from the operator prior to your flight.

The support vehicle or motor vehicle could transport anyone not able to walk at any time, during a portion of the trek. All members of every group will have rosters with participant names. This will allow you to monitor everyone closely, so there will be “no one left behind.”

The tour operator will begin the permit, visa, and logistics paperwork after the booking confirmation, which will begin approximately 30-60 days before departure. They will require your passport and photo well in advance, to at least be able to start the Tibet permits.
